Your content stays on your device
Callmode is an iPhone recording app with a simulated call interface. It does not connect you to a live caller. This policy explains the current app, this website, and support communications. Callmode does not require an account.
The app does not upload your camera recordings, microphone recordings, teleprompter scripts, custom caller names, or imported caller videos to us. It contains no advertising SDK, tracking SDK, or third-party support SDK. We do not sell personal information or use it for cross-app advertising.
Camera, microphone, and Photos
Camera and microphone access let Callmode record your video and its audio. Photos access lets Callmode save completed recordings. When importing a custom caller, you choose media through Apple’s picker; Callmode does not need unrestricted access to your entire Photos library.
You can change permissions in iPhone Settings. Denying access may prevent the related feature from working. Saved videos belong to your Photos library and may sync with iCloud Photos according to your Apple settings.
Information stored locally
Callmode stores caller-library information, app preferences, tutorial and review-prompt state, and basic app-event flags on your device. The free-recording count is stored in the iOS Keychain and may remain after uninstalling the app. It is not synchronized by Callmode to an account.
Custom caller media is processed locally and stored in the app’s private storage, excluded from device backup. Callmode keeps your last teleprompter script in private on-device storage for your next call, including after reopening the app. The script directory is excluded from device backup, and scripts are not uploaded or included in support emails or diagnostic logs. If local storage is unavailable, the current script may remain only in memory. Keep your own copy of important text. Diagnostic events are written to local device logs; the app has no remote analytics endpoint.
If a recording does not save, Callmode tries to retain its video files and recovery details, including its recording time, quality, and free-credit status, in private on-device storage excluded from device backup. Retained recordings are available for retry or discard. The app attempts to remove recovery files after a successful save. Temporary files may remain if retention or cleanup fails. These files are not uploaded, and recovery is not guaranteed.
Purchases and Apple services
Apple processes purchases and payments. Callmode uses StoreKit to check purchase entitlements, subscription status, and introductory-offer eligibility. We do not receive your payment-card details. Apple’s processing, backup, crash-reporting, and diagnostic services are governed by Apple’s policies and your device settings.
When you contact support
If you send an email, we receive your email address, your message, and anything you choose to include. Contact Support in the app prepares only the app version, iOS version, device model, and Pro or Free status. Sending is your choice. No private media is automatically attached.
We use support correspondence to answer your request, diagnose the reported problem, and maintain necessary support records. We use Zoho Mail for our support inbox. Zoho and other email providers involved in delivery process messages to deliver and store them. Please avoid sending sensitive information or private recordings. We keep correspondence only as long as needed for support, related disputes, or legal obligations.
Website visits
These pages do not include advertising, analytics scripts, contact forms, or embedded media. Our hosting provider may process network information such as IP address, browser details, requested pages, and access times to deliver and secure the website. Access-restricted previews may also use the hosting provider’s sign-in cookies. Hosting and email services may process information in countries other than your own.
Your choices and deletion
You can delete custom people from Callmode, discard unsaved recordings through Recording needs attention, and delete saved recordings in Photos. Clear all text in the teleprompter editor to remove its saved draft; replacing the text replaces that draft. Discard Recording asks for confirmation before deleting the unsaved recording. Deleting a person from Callmode does not remove your original media from Photos. Uninstalling removes the app’s local container, including the teleprompter draft and retained recovery files, but does not remove videos saved to Photos, cancel a subscription, or necessarily erase Keychain entries. Apple backups and Photos copies are controlled through Apple’s settings.
You may contact support to request access to, correction of, or deletion of support information we hold about you. We may need to verify your request and retain information where legally required. Depending on your location, you may have additional rights, including objection, restriction, portability, or a complaint to your local privacy regulator. We cannot remotely retrieve or delete media stored only on your device.
Security and younger users
We minimize off-device information and rely on platform protections and appropriate access controls. No storage or transmission method can be guaranteed completely secure. Callmode is not designed specifically for children. If you believe a child has sent us personal information without appropriate permission, contact us so we can review and address it.
Updates and contact
We will update this policy when the app or our practices change and revise the date above. Material changes will be communicated as required. Questions about this policy or your privacy can be sent to support@callmode.app.
