How do the 5 free recordings work?

You can save five free recordings before Callmode Pro is required for more. This is a total allowance, not a monthly allowance. A recording counts only after it saves successfully and lasts at least two seconds. Pausing and resuming the same recording does not use extra credits.

Callmode Pro recordings do not use free credits. The remaining allowance is shown on the caller-selection screen. Reinstalling the app is not a supported way to reset your allowance.

How do I restore Callmode Pro?

Sign in to the Apple Account used for your purchase. In Callmode, open Settings, then choose Restore Purchases. You can also restore from the Pro screen. An internet connection may be needed. An expired or canceled subscription does not grant access after its paid period ends.

How do I manage or cancel my subscription?

Open Callmode Settings and choose Manage Subscription to open Apple’s subscription controls. You can also open iPhone Settings, tap your name, then Subscriptions and Callmode. Deleting Callmode does not cancel a subscription. For a free trial, cancel at least 24 hours before it ends if you do not want to renew.

Why isn’t my Bluetooth microphone showing?

Connect the accessory in iPhone Settings first, then check Audio Source in Callmode Settings. Some Bluetooth devices support playback but do not expose a recording microphone to iOS. If the microphone is still unavailable, reconnect the accessory, check microphone permission, and try the built-in microphone. Available inputs depend on the accessory and the audio route provided by iOS.

Why didn’t my video save?

Callmode saves your recording to Photos when you end the call. Successful saves are silent. Pausing does not save a separate video. Keep Callmode open while it finishes, especially for longer or higher-quality recordings, and check Photos for the completed video.

If saving fails, look for Recording needs attention on the home screen. Tap it to review the recording. Check that Callmode can add to Photos in iPhone Settings and that your iPhone has enough free storage, then choose Retry Saving if it is available. Discard Recording permanently deletes the unsaved recording after you confirm.

Callmode tries to keep unsaved recordings privately on your iPhone for another attempt. If it warns that it could not keep a permanent recovery copy, keep the app open. A retry cannot recover a recording if no usable video was produced, and recovery is not guaranteed. Contact support if you need help, but do not send private media. Support cannot retrieve your recordings from a server.

How do I add a custom person?

Choose Add Person in the caller library, select a video, enter a name, and adjust the trim and framing before saving. You can keep one custom person for free; Callmode Pro allows more. Only add videos you have permission to use, including any necessary permission from the people shown. Keep the original video if you may need it again.

Are custom caller videos uploaded anywhere?

Callmode imports and processes custom caller videos on your device. The app does not upload them to Callmode or an AI service. Callmode has no account or cloud library. Your Photos library may sync through Apple’s services if you enable those services separately. Custom caller files in Callmode are excluded from device backup and may need to be imported again on another device.

How do I change video quality?

Before starting a call, open Callmode Settings and choose Video Quality. Free recording uses 1080p at 30 fps when supported. Additional quality choices require Callmode Pro and compatible hardware. Higher resolutions and frame rates use more storage and may take longer to save. Quality is kept consistent within a call.

How do I contact support?

Email support@callmode.app with the subject Callmode Support. The app’s Contact Support option prepares an email with your app version, iOS version, device model, and Pro or Free status. You can review and edit it before sending. It does not automatically attach videos, scripts, caller names, or microphone recordings. Please do not send private media or passwords.
